Senior QB Dylan "Stick" Martin threw a beautiful 27 yard pass to Bryant "Lil Big Cat" Watts late in the first quarter for the only score the Mighty Flashes would need as the defense put a collar & leash on the Scotties offense.
The Flashes defense forced five punt, two turnovers and held the Scotties twice onfourth and short. In fact the Scotties only threatened to score once in the whole game and that was a missed field goal attempt that came about because of a 15 yard penalty.The defense came up big all game as the D line stuffed the holes on running plays and harried the QB on passing plays. The tackling was on the money with very few missed tackeles, a bunch of open field tackles and powerful gang tackling.

The offense didn't put up the points they did last week (38) aginst New Egypt but they moved the ball effectively and controlled the clock. Penalties were thier "Achellies Heel" twarting three long drives and a score. Sam "Big Bam" Ugowe had 52 yards on nine carries, Marcus "Flash" Rawls had 25 on ten carries, a 33 yard punt return that set up his 3 yard scoring run and a TD called back on a holding penalty. Daquan "Bulldozer" Chapman had 19 yards on four carries. All in all six different backs carried the ball for the Flashes.

The special teams did their job as Dakota "Big Foot" Bennish booted two PAT's, Kevin "King Kev" Allison drove the ball deep on kickoffs and Teshawn "Big Bear" Roberts put a beautiful 45 yard punt out of bounds on the 2 yard line.
